A Tween Star awardee, an ACHI Magazine nominee for Woman of Inspiration, Community Leader and winner of the Philanthropist of the year, 2022 GLEBM (Global Labour Events & Business Magazine) Women Empowerment Top Exceptional Leadership Award, Darlene is honored to serve others.

Pastor Darlene Thorne is a licensed, ordained minister, author, teacher and an anointed psalmist. She earned her BS in Communications from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. In 2011, Pastor Darlene received her Masters of Divinity from Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, NC. She has most recently received her Diploma for the Ministry of Teaching from Raleigh Institute of Biblical Studies. Most recently, Pastor Darlene has become certified as a Vision Transformation Coach and Certified Christian Coach.

Pastor Darlene is a renowned speaker who has traveled nationwide, spreading the word of God at conferences and women's meetings. She is particularly passionate about empowering women to live purposeful lives. In addition to her speaking engagements, Darlene has written four impactful books: "A Heart After the Father" (a daily devotional), "When Dark Chocolate is Bittersweet", "The Goliath Within-Winning the Battle of the Heart", and "Refresh, Refill, Renew" (a devotional and journal bundle). As a Mentor, Pastor Darlene has created a membership program that fosters community among other caregivers and brings in experts to discuss ways to take care of oneself body, soul and spirit. She also offers a coaching program called “Be Selfish toServe Big.," which helps individuals identify areas for growth and develop a personal self-care blueprint for true freedom and a greater capacity to serve others.

Pastor Darlene lives in Clayton, North Carolina where she and her husband of over thirty years serve as pastors of Renewal Community Church. They have two world changer young adults, Kevin, II and Kennedy Elayne.
